About Me
As a lifelong Guilderland resident, William Coons Jr. takes great pride in giving back to our comm
unity. He joined Fort Hunter Fire Department in 1981 and went on to become Chief and then President of the department before retiring in 1998. He also served on the Guilderland Zoning Board of Appeals from 1995 to 2000, spending his last two years on the Board as Chairman. The only thing William is more dedicated to than his community, is his family. William married his high school sweetheart, Michele Coons, who is the Director of Member Service at the Retail Council of NYS.
He has been married to his wife, Michele Coons, for 33 years and together they have two children William (Will) and Samantha. Michele is the Director of Member Service at the Retail Council, but also assists William with real estate on the weekends. William and Will purchased a house together this past summer to flip and have been working vigorously to complete their project. The house should be hitting the market in just a few weeks, so stay tuned for pictures of the finished product. While they have been busy on the house, Samantha has recently started a new job at Union College as the Assistant Director of Annual Giving. She is eager to dive into this next challenge and see where the opportunity leads.
